Taking tea to the outside!

Last weekend was the first Thom’s Club Hike.  Locally, we are surrounded by amazing walks and hills as we sit on the edge of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, one of the most beautiful spots in Scotland.  For the first hike we selected Conic Hill.  It's situated on the east bank of Loch Lomond with an elevation of approx 1200ft.  Half way up, you turn around and you’re faced with beautiful scenery looking down onto the Loch.

Our group of 10 adults and 6 kids ventured up the hill and the chat was great.  Talk of how to get fit, ideas on healthy eating, how to hide sugar from the kids were the main topics.  I’m going to ask a couple of the girls to write a blog as their knowledge was far greater than my own.  At the top, we talked tea!  I brought our Scottish Breakfast tea, our Peppermint tea and our Mint Chocolate Rooibos tea.  Peppermint was a hit as was the Scottish Breakfast.  For those who hadn’t tried the Mint Chocolate Rooibos, there was a surprise of tasting the combination of peppermint and the cacoa bean pieces.  It reminded them of Mint choc Matchmakers and After Eight’s….all without the calories..!

Next Thom’s Club Hike…..where do you want to climb?

Saturday 1st July, we will have a stall at the Art on the Exchange market, Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow.  Please come along and stock up on your tea!

Today is the start of Summer, 34 degrees in England and Wales.....14 degrees in Scotland(!)... Get the kettle on!
